Dentaa Amoateng



Dentaa Amoateng is an entrepreneur, TV personality, a mother of three and the founder of the annual ‘Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards. She went further by setting up a charity by the name of ‘ The GUBA Foundation’ a charity that supports autistic children within Ghanaian and the British-Ghanaian community.

Dentaa  was born in Juaso, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, West Africa but moved with her family to the UK at the age of five and now divides her time between the UK and Africa. She trained as a nurse in the UK and is a qualified paediatric nurse, but soon found herself in the world of entertainment, starting out as an actress and gospel singer. she then moved on to become the TV personality of popular Ghanaian programmes including ‘ The Dentaa Show’ and West African talent show ‘Mentor’.


In 2011, she was named the “Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year” for her achievement of establishing the GUBA awards, and as of 29th June 2013, Dentaa is also the winner of the prestigious African Women in Europe (AWE) 2013 Award.

As well as her exensive business outreaches and charity work, Dentaa is also the manager of Ghana team and ex Sunderland footballer Asamoah Gyan. At only 30, she has done so much; truly seen as a female icon in the British African community and a role model to many women.
